Curved Wedge Gib Key Removal Tool

I have now got to the stage where I need to remove the flywheel gib key on my Pettter A1 engine.

I have seen these new (Claas) on eBay at around £38 (including postage).

I would be very interested to either hire or buy a used one if anyone has one in their workshop.

Believe me its worth buying a new one. I doubt you'd find one for sale used. I've had 100% success with 7 flywheels now.

I took your advice and purchased the tool - hoping to find time to get the engine stripped down and painted now it is up and running OK.

Well worth it as these things are pretty crap unless it’s a maintained lubed up key. Claas works and much simpler if used correctly.
