Hi Andy, in one of your posts on the 15th Oct. you were using a strain gauge weighing device, as below. If you don't mind could you let me know where you got it and what you think of it. I have been looking on-line and there are numerous types available. I have seen one I am considering but thought I should ask you about your one.

Very happy with mine and I bought here but cannot remember what I paid, might find it cheaper with a google.

Thanks for your help. It's interesting to see the variation in price for what would seem to be the same item. In the end I have opted for a 500 Kg unit, as I thought 300 Kg might be near the limit for some of the engines and bikes I might want to weigh. I hope what I've ordered is up to the job!

I've just noticed your edit, you certainly got that for a good price. They are a  lot more now.

Thought I would share with you which weighing device I ended up getting. On a test with a 14 lb weight it seems to work well. Unfortunately I can't match your price though, this one cost £39.99, supposedly this was 20% off the full price.
