VILLIERS 4 STROKE MK 10 PRODUCTION PERIOD ???????????
do you know the production dates of villiers 10s and 12s
ive started to restore a villiers 10 with 2 small brass plates that ive not seen before
1 says only VILLIERS and adress
the other SAYS ONLY the spec MK10 and the V engine and then a box with 3/35 in it all the other marking are not as on the numerous other villiers
they are just the serial number over were the EG a44a45/ 4-45 and then it works out as the month year
IVE READ SOMWERE that villiers made engines for the army and they were marked as a V engine
and it also has the extra long coil like the wx11 wahs have
can you help with anything on it im doing a post later if you wish to post
thanks kev

Re: VILLIERS 4 STROKE MK 10 PRODUCTION PERIOD ???????????
Production of the Mk 10 started in 1941

The Mk12 is a larger capacity Mk10
The V engines were supplied to the military for use, I think they were used on Gensets and Compressors, they were also fitted with the model V carb, the V engine wasnt fitted with the latter B2 carb
Plus the stuff I mentioned on in the PM.
Cheers Steve
