picked up a new toy yesterday .

Fairbanks Morse headless

new toy . Fairbanks headless IMAG0676

got a few bits to do to the engine ,

needs a new fuel tank and sort out the fuel line along with the ignitor flicker arm . and make a new trolley up for it .

Will be staying in the condition it is at the moment one day il get the brush on it .

Thanks guys , yes it is a interesting engine thats why i bought it lol

stu you will hear it running soon , i need to get a new non return valve for it as wont pick up fuel from tank and hold it in the pipe for long ...

Pete , now why would it be firmiliar ?????

Steve , if you want a small hit and miss open crank thats working your talking £650 plus or around that mark .... ask mr Deacon or many of the american engine lads ...

it was running but needs a few bits doing to it , since repairing the flicker arm i have now found out that the ignitor doesn't spark every strike now .... but if flick it by hand it seems fine . I have a feeling that the spring could do with renewing as it doesnt have a nice sharp snap everytime in my opinion ....

Got decorating to do over winter too .... but its getting motivated lol

I also have a milking display to build and a dynamo to sort out and make a light board too ...
