Amanco serial Numbers
Does the letter T after a serial number on an Amanco Hired Man have any significance?

Think it means it had coil ignition rather than a mag, could be miles out tho.

I'm not sure about that, Rob.
I was going to suggest that the "T" meant a throttle governed Hired Man engine, but that's probably wrong too.
....and maybe not all throttle governed engines had it either.
Maybe 1945ruston can confirm if he has a throttler or a hit 'n miss engine.
A few Amanco oversize 4 and 6hp engines have an "A" after the number, but no one seems to know what that means either.

Re: Amanco serial Numbers
Thanks, this makes a lot of sense as it is a throttle governed engine

Well that's a possibility then, but I can't say for sure 100% if it's right.

Could also mean Tank cooled Philip, seen one of those before now....

Yep, anything is possible, and nothing is certain in this game.

Re: Amanco serial Numbers
There is 3hp Amanco pictured in SEM May 2019 with the serial number 502983T. It is a throttle governed engine.
